How do we get people to be healthier?
Who profits when we stay sick?
A neighborhood doesn't get healthier because someone hands it a pamphlet. It gets healthier when there is somewhere close by and welcoming to move your body, cool down, and be around people who know your name.
That place is on Driver Street: free weekly wellness and dance classes at 103 S Driver Street, health and wellness sessions led by and for neighbors, cooling stations during extreme heat at the CIP Building, and space that Black-led organizations can use.
